It was magical to hear The Cynz “Narrow Hips” earlier in the show. Everyone at JEM Records is stoked and wants to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. Peace & Love, Maureen
Joe W.:
I sure do remember the Schaefer Music Festival. How lucky were we to see all those great shows? Saw The Beach Boys there as well as many others. Can’t recall if I saw The Blues Project there.
When you played The Swan Silvertones you reminded me of the time in 1992, 30 years to the day, when I met Al Kooper in the coffee shop that used to be next to Colisseum Books on 7th Ave. and 58th St. I saw him walk in and sit down at a table by himself. When I finished lunch I walked over to his table to tell him how much I enjoyed his music. He invited me to sit down and we talked for about 1/2 hour. I told him that I loved The Beach Boys and all things with harmonies and he told me I should check out The Swan Silvertones. It was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. He told me he had just come from Dylan’s apartment where he was doing something with Dylan’s son. I guess that was Jakob. He also told me to watch out for an upcoming Blood, Sweat & Tears 25th Anniversary show at The Bottom Line. Sure enough, the concert was announced shortly thereafter. True story! Happy Thanksgiving.
Joe
