As a native Marylander, I'm impressed that you correctly said "Silver Spring", singular, instead of calling it "Silver Springs".

I haven't been there in years, actually, but Tyler Cowen's Ethnic Dining Guide (free online) notes that there is excellent Haitian, Indian, and Pakistani food there, and solid Ethiopian, Guatemalan, and Burmese.
