There is a program here for homeless here who find a full time job to get free housing (for up to 6 months), once they have been show they can be drug-free, It's a very small portion (maybe 5% of the homeless population that actually come to the shelter, so it doesn't include those who prefer to 'camp'). So, tonight, I'm creating resumes for some of our clients so they can move onto better jobs). This isn't my volunteer time at the shelter, I just have free time as I have no school on saturdays).

During the spring/summer, i was interacting w/ everyone coming into the shelter on a daily basis. the paucity of services is appalling. Usually, the best I can do is get them identification, and hope they can get disability or some other gov't service.
