Sorry, can I rant for two seconds? What the F is it with health insurance in this country? I pay over $600/month for a shitty plan. Then I have a copay just to go visit my doctor and co-insurance charges on top of THAT! So, stuff associated with my "guaranteed free" under NYS law well-woman checkup is racking up a slew of bills, some bigger than others. I got a scare quotes first notice on a bill, threatening to refer me to collection (and thus Fing my credit rating) for the princely sum of....$3.44. And of COURSE even though I do all other financial stuff via email/my phone, NOOOOOO, they will ONLY bill you via snail mail and FU if the USPS loses it. F this country. F our lack of real healthcare. I just got a first-time-ever coinsurance bill for a radiologist and I didn't even see the radiologist on the day listed; asked for a detailed and full billing statement to see if the nonsense stops there.

I’m going through an attempt at debt collection for medical bills. Via my financial advisor, it can’t hurt my credit rating. But, I’m still jumping through a Byzantine insurance industry trying to figure wtf is going on (and it’s a lot better then it was). At least on my debt, I knew my insurance wouldn’t cover my needs.

Sorry to hear and SOLIDARITY!! PS when my little niece got a very bad cold/possibly flu in Melbourne, instead of having to have 17 different appointments and tests at 17 different times, everything got done in under an hour WITHOUT an appointment, no copay, and meds were capped pricing and available for pickup at the affiliated pharmacy next door to the practice -- it was waiting for my bro and niece when they left the doctor's office. BUT Australia MUST be a grotesque Commie hellscape because every three-toed, four-toothed, crosseyed inbred cretin CAN'T carry an AK-47 into the grocery store because FREE DUMB.
