I use a magnetic flux locator at work. the brand is
Schonstedt... it wakes a higher pitched frequency the stronger the magnetc field... I've held a 58 to the speaker and waved it around posts in the basement while tweaking the squelch knob and the volume knob... it was pretty cool with the jam session
