	9:57am Doug Schulkind: Jenkins and the tenor saxist on this date, Clifford Jordan, were buddies from Chicago. Toward the end of his life, Jenkins started playing again, and hooked up with Jordan again. Both Jenkins and Jordan were born in 1931 and died in 1993.
	9:58am Doug Schulkind: Jerome Richardson was a triple threat (tenor, alto, flute). He was a mainstay in Charles Mingus' band until he was replaced by Cannonball Adderley.

	10:02am alanr: Sometimes people forget about the musical world of Michael Snow, known more for his films. He was also a pianist and applied his "experimental" ideas to music as much as his films, and continued doing both for all his life.
