There is something wonderfully eerie about listening to this and imagining what the 1980s underground may have been like. I wish I could explain this feeling in a more articulate manner.

the existing wooden floor is very uneven -more than we thought and we need to get heavier-duty equipment to sand it flat. that might happen monday.
so until then i can't accurately measure for cutting the tile, as i'd tried to do yesterday.
everything's complicated with this house!
