wow is it possible the killer drumming on this track is from a 12 year old??!

arsivplak.bandcamp.com...

“Here is BEYBONLAR Orkestrası..
Ultra rare Turkish heavy psychedelic single by Beybonlar from 1969.
Amazing stuff from the teenagers band that the drummer was only 12 years old when they recorded the tunes,
Side A is Gelin Ayse (Bride Ayse) which is very sadly traditional Turkish folk song that arranged by the psych form
Side B is Nenni (Lullaby) that is a traditional tune, but what a traditional tune by the teenagers!!!”

I moved here from Winnipeg in May, 1981, to go to OCA in the fall, and The Edge was still open, although I never did get to see anything there...I had to keep very busy to scrape $ together, and not spend it. I did turn up at the door once that summer to try to get into a John Cale gig, but no go. Sold out. An interesting side-note,though: About two months ago, I met Gary Topp's daughter. She was assisting Helene, with whom I live. Helene does hair (and makeup sometimes) in TV, commercials, small films, and washer assistant was here in the house for a bit. Topp isn't a common name, so when I asked and found out I told her that her dad was responsible for me seeing quite a few great shows, and to convey my thanks.

I'm only ever physically in the branch @ Gerrard and Parliament, so no such thing in the inner shitty. Just homeless cats and security guards. If there were books there, they'd line their shoes and wipe themselves with the paper probably

I can't even recall the weirdest combo I've done... it happens so often. The weirdest moment was when a game warden showed up as I was live DJing at KRTS in Marfa and I assumed it had something to do with a couple fighting outside!

I am dying for so many reasons. This was a song that Lady C trauma bonded over when I suddenly found myself single last May after 17 years. It inspired us to do our first show together... And especially tickled tonight. You will see why in the next set.
