thanks for reminding me about that all-star album by The Heads. Was such a big fan of the Talking variety, don't know why I never got around to investigating the post-Byrne lineup.

↳ Song: "Drum Boogie (V Disc)" by "Gene Krupa"
is this on a 78?? I think my grandma had this song and i used to listen to it on our big ass console (*big ass is a technical term)

↳ LeoIRodriguez @11:30
ah, remember the fun of playing albums at 78 rpm? Kids don't know what they're missin.
Avatar 🌃 11:33pm

↳ Mr Fab @11:31
i am lucky to hear those "thick rich" recordings. There was something "full" about the sound of those albums, particularly Count Basie, Glenn Miller and Doris Day were her favorites oh and Lena Horne
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:36pm
Beneath the Underground:

Leo, Krupa had a hit record w Drum Boogie that really rocked. 78 at first, later on 45 RPM. This is from a V Disc he recorded just for the troops in WW2
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:39pm
Beneath the Underground:

Hi Fab. Yes, Talking Heads remains a fave of mine too. They released just the one record as the Heads.

"Chelsea Girls" is a great album. I think of it as Velvet Underground album 1.5, since they were heavily involved with it.
