Just mediating it, by broadcasting it, arguably perpetuates it...but it's part of the content of so many records, particularly in hip-hop, where the artists, debatably, took the word back

Personally, I don't like to see the censure of recorded history, to remove its untidiness. The ugliness should be there for all to see, but then there's the reality of a certain contingent of boneheads out there on the receiving end who don't get that
