I’ve got about 10 pages to go in You’re With Stupid by DB’s guest In 2 weeks Bruce Adams. It’s a really great read. I highly, highly recommend it. It’s everything you’d want to know about behind the scenes of a small yet successful label. Adams also really captures the uniqueness of Chicago I the 90s without it being a nostalgia trip.

Mark - I haven’t been able to comment during you’re shows but the past 2 shows have been really excellent listening.

I’ve also been meaning to pass along that I reacently witnessed (and heard) the most egregious use of a gas powered leaf blower yet. I saw a pickle ball player drying the court with a leaf blower. Trifling!

I bet there are some OK parts of Kensington, but that restaurant is right under the el, and there are lots of addicts nodding out there. But you can park RIGHT in front of the restaurant most of the time. Or just get something to go. Worth it. Never had Vietnamese that excellent in NYC.

Philadelphia is awesome! always have had wonderful experiences whenever i have visited -- i could spend days in the art museum! and i love the Mutter Museum too 🖤🖤

and everyone there is so freaking sweet! i learned about Goldie Falafel & their incredible tehina shakes while at Veg City (iirc) -- a woman sitting next to us was practically apologetic, she did not want us to think she was being nosy! but explained that she overheard us talking about vegan options in Philly 💚💚

i have not been there myself, but i have heard positive things about Fishtown -- & true, not so positive things about Kensington (there are really really sad videos on youtube of people who are addicts and living in a park there -- & i do not know if anything is being done to help them)
