I had the Telekon album on cassette many years ago. The only things GN I have now is that live album he put out in the 90's (also on cassette) and an album and some comps with contributed tracks on CD put out by Cleopatra.

Back in the day, there was this station in Eatontown (near Long Branch), WHTG, that was dedicated to playing nothing but alternative music. One DJ had a regular feature where he would spotlight one new release per week. On that program they featured "Strange Angels", and I got to record all the select tracks that were played. Still have that cassette to this day, along with other albums featured on that program segment, Including Alison Moyet's and Richard Barone's first solo albums, Prefab Sprout's "From Langley Park To Memphis", New Order's "Low-Life", and a few others.

Surprising how little that's done. Maybe in the late 60s when FM first crossed over ! Maybe it's like - get this Album or don't - it's not broadcasting's job to do the whole thing for you... Be a good Program - with some relevant Data on the thing ...wouldn't even have to be New for me maybe...

I did tell you about the show I went to see back in August in Woodbridge, didn't I? The Grip Weeds and the Bongos were playing there. I made it to the show only in time to catch The Bongos onstage, EFD announced the show over the air earlier that day, so I figured he was going to go there, too. And sure enough, I got to meet him in person! Also got to meet Richard after the show, as well as two members from The Grip Weeds. Also bought two Bongos re-releases for Richard to autograph. A great night spent, all in all!

Julie, here's a question I should've asked you long ago, now that you're playing Tori Amos:
Have you ever attended Lilith Fair?

Yes, was gonna say: Cat Stevens came out in favor of the fatwa against Salman Rushdie for the Satanic Verses, and said that Rushdie "must be killed." which is why everyone began divesting from his music. 10,000 Maniacs removed PEACE TRAIN from IN MY TRIBE , but yeah.
