I saw the Zombies ...at The Beacon, was it? Around '99-2000? With Love?, was it?, and... Who was the other band?

My biggest three memories of the show were that Colin Blunstone's voice was amazing, the Zombies were amazing, and Rod Argent and his keyboards occupied the right half of the stage, and the whole rest of the band occupied the left half, which looked ummm weird.

Whereas Sgt.Pepper & the PinkFloyd debut album 'Piper @ the Gates of Dawn' were famously recorded @ the same time early '67 in dif studios in Abbey Road - MOJO Magazine said the first thing recorded in #2 after Pepper was when TheZombies walked in - & saw the Engineers taking apart the four-track machines TheBeatles had linked to get more tracks ...& said - stop ! Keep those linked a minute ! & then they did 'Odessey & Oracle' sessions. Quite a little family of Albums in time & space.

I love his point about song meaning. Before he actually quoted Dylan, I immediately thought of that very statement made by BD. Fans always seem to need to know, "What a song means?" ...nothing in particular...and/or whatever it means to you, the listener."

The FMU DJs are the BEST interviewers anywhere. They really know their stuff. When a Larry King or Charlie Rose or even Dan Rather interview musicians they tend to focus on the fame part and don't know a lot about the music part. Howard Stern is a little better but he tends to be a bit too tabloid and focused on the interpersonal relationships in bands

When asked to explain what his film or art meant, Andy Warhol often didn't answer. Or, he would reply, "It is about nothing."
This always seemed to disappoint the questioner. Many people need to have things explained to them.
To me, creative work, like a good joke, should not require explanation. If it does, it isn't very good.

Context can be illuminating - &/or interesting. But surely the value of the Creative is specifically that it communicates what our other more ordinary means are not doing. That is ...I benefit plenty from shining spotlights on Works from different angles - or - as was done here - learning of the circumstances of Creation. But to dissect or frame a living thing in concrete is usually fatal. A Symbol become too rigid becomes a mere Sign. & directing traffic is generally not the object of the Creative exercise...

That's a bit before my time. I grew up closer to Syracuse, and I started college in Albany a week after my 18th birthday, so I couldn't go to clubs in Rochester. I lived in Albany until 1988.

I'm high school, we listened to Rochester radio (WCMF, WSAY). I could have gone to stadium concerts in Rochester, but I never did.

Later on, I lived in Rochester for a couple years, from late 2000 until mid-2003. I worked in Rochester, and I spent most weekends in NYC and Hoboken, but I went out to see as much local Rochester music as I could. There was and is a lot of it.

Who knows what was masquerading as acid back then, depending on when Handy was in high school. I remember, c. 1977, ingesting blotters with greenish, gray disks printed on them. It had some psychoactive effect but surely was not what it pretended to be.

I absolutely support the opinion that it's better to ask essay writing experts in this. That's why I usually buy essays online cheap essaykeeper.com and thus alleviate my agony. Since this particular assignment is usually time-consuming.
