When I was a high school junior, I made -- or tried to make -- a tape for either constitutional liberties or political science class. "Serious" questions, with clips from pop songs as responses, in the mode of the Dickie Goodman hits of the day. The excerpts, from radio speaker to portable cassette recorder mike, were awful quality. And I think most of the thing was unlistenable, even unintelligible. Don't remember how I managed to edit the sequence of my voiced questions alternating with isolated song bits.
The teacher was merciful, as I recall, crediting me for the effort if not for the production quality or effectiveness.
