Shoot, missed the Junius Paul, but I did hear my campus station yesterday when it aired the latest Art Ensemble record featuring him. When Roscoe Mitchell was in town two years ago, I had the pleasure of taking him to the airport after his stay. I had a dinky car, but thought nothing of it, because Roscoe would fit in the front, his instruments in the back and trunk. Except he brought his wife and the band, including Paul, who is a very tall dude. We made it to the airport...barely.
