Can't remember if I got my package yet, but I remember there was going to be a Sheena's Jungle Room show on the t-shirt!

Indeed! I think all that stuff is shipping next month.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:14pm

↳ Song: "Another Bible Story Adventure" by "Myeck Waters"
I'm really enjoying this!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:15pm
postconsumer:

classic cut-up. I once tried working with the artist to put this album out more "officially," and was turned down. It's one of my faves, to this day.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:17pm

I've never lost more money, more quickly, than the year I ran that record label.

I've heard gambling works pretty well, if you're looking for something faster.

it was fun though
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20pm
Austin Rich:

↳ Song: "Call Me By Your Fancy Name" by "IamJstncrdble"
When I used to run Karaoke at Chopsticks in PDX, people would sing that "Fancy" song all the time. That's the only context I know that song in.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20pm
Austin Rich:

↳ Song: "The Banana Boat Story" by "Buchanan & Goodman"
Dickie Goodman! Classic. There's always more of his stuff that I keep uncovering.
Avatar 8:21pm
Mr Fab:

↳ Austin Rich @8:20
i'm not familiar with it, but i've never been to a lot of karaoke joints. Who was that, Dolly Parton?
Avatar 8:21pm
Mr Fab:

what was your label, Jon?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:21pm
postconsumer:

There's a surprisingly large number of these break-in records, by a variety of artists.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:22pm
Austin Rich:

↳ Mr Fab @8:21
Can't remember. Some country artist, for sure.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:23pm

↳ postconsumer @8:21
There were! The best ones were Buchanan & Goodman, for sure. But there were a ton of other people doing it at the time. Just... not as well.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:24pm
Austin Rich:

↳ Song: "Without A Love Story" by "team9"
That's The Letter 2, and The Numeral U.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:25pm
postconsumer:

↳ Mr Fab @8:21
It was called Recombinations, Mr. Fab. The best thing we ever released was digital-only, with Illegal Art. The band was Lecture On Nothing, and the album is exquisite.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:26pm
Austin Rich:

↳ postconsumer @8:25
Those Illegal Art releases were always great. I should track that one down.

Listened to "Lecture On Nothing" a couple of times since you sent it my way... planning on spinning that cd in the player when I do radio again someday.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:28pm

I just did a google search to see if it was archived somewhere, but sadly, no.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:29pm

This is pretty well edited. Gonna need some I Cut People...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:29pm
postconsumer:

His first album is on bandcamp though: popmafia.bandcamp.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:30pm
Otis Fodder:

↳ Song: "The Inside Story" by "I Cut People"
Next to Wayne Butane, I Cut People is so funny in the sample choices.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:31pm
postconsumer:

I Cut People is amazing. It's Nicholas Smith of GITAR (with Ellipse Elkshow - also amazing).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:33pm
Otis Fodder:

We played with GITAR in Eugene in 2010 and the 'other' Marc Time along with ECC.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:34pm
Otis Fodder:

↳ Song: "Quick Eleven" by "Live Human"
Flashback here, haven't heard this in years.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:34pm
Austin Rich:

↳ Otis Fodder @8:33
That would have been great to see! Who booked that show? Don Haugen? (Seems likely... but... you never know.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:34pm
postconsumer:

↳ Otis Fodder @8:33
nice!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:35pm
Otis Fodder:

↳ Austin Rich @8:34
Don't know or remember exactly. It was at Cowfish.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:35pm
Austin Rich:

↳ Otis Fodder @8:35
Ohhhh! Probably Sean Mediaclast.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:35pm
Austin Rich:

↳ Otis Fodder @8:35
That's the place Mark Hosler and I played when we toured, and Sean Mediaclast booked that one, too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:37pm
Otis Fodder:

↳ Austin Rich @8:35
Nice, I remember the place was on a strip mall sort of street with big windows in front.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:37pm
Otis Fodder:

Was just talking about Droplift recently and the whole idea of dropping the CDs in shops was so funny years back. Good times on the Snuggles list!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:38pm
Austin Rich:

↳ Otis Fodder @8:37
Yep! That place is usually a dance club, most weekends / Fridays. But Sean is an old-school weirdo, who loves to book other stuff when he can. (And Don Haugen played with me and Mark at that show!)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:38pm
postconsumer:

↳ Otis Fodder @8:37
those were the days :)
Avatar 8:39pm
Mr Fab:

↳ Otis Fodder @8:37
the Snuggles list was where I got this album. Did anyone actually drop it into record stores to confuse the store clerks?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:39pm
Otis Fodder:

↳ Austin Rich @8:38
It was probably Sean, memory is something huh! That's cool for playing with Mark, would have loved to catch that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:40pm
Austin Rich:

↳ Otis Fodder @8:39
I've got some video and audio from all the shows we did, including some high-quality audio from the show we did in Salem. We did five shows together, ending in Seattle on Halloween, where I got to meet and jam with The Weatherman in person! It was a dream come true, for sure.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:40pm
postconsumer:

↳ Mr Fab @8:39
I did! I was much too shy on that listserv, but I did jump in headfirst when the CD was put out. Took it around to about a dozen stores
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:41pm
Otis Fodder:

↳ Mr Fab @8:39
I did in Seattle. I was not on the comp, but did drop 10 or 15, what was sent my way into a shop Wall of Sound + Goodwill and can't remembe the others.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:41pm
postconsumer:

↳ Austin Rich @8:40
that's great! I got to meet Mark a couple of times. He's a super nice guy.
Avatar 8:41pm
Mr Fab:

Well done, lads!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:41pm
Austin Rich:

↳ postconsumer @8:40
I was a lurker on that list, too. One of the first things I looked up when I first got "online."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:42pm
postconsumer:

↳ Austin Rich @8:41
that's essentially what I was, too. Too afraid to speak up, usually. But I learned a LOT from those guys talking about sound collage.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:42pm
Austin Rich:

↳ postconsumer @8:41
He is. When I got to open for the full Negativland experience a few years later, that was pretty amazing, too. I ran their merch for a few shows, and have great video / audio from two shows.
Avatar 8:43pm
Mr Fab:

Alas, my copy of "50/50" has gone missing. All the tracks were 50 seconds long was that it? is it available anywhere, Jon?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:43pm
Austin Rich:

↳ postconsumer @8:42
That was how I treated it: research. I was a noob and I was very young and curious.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:43pm

Why yes, it is, Mr. Fab!

I tried to join Snuggles a couple of times, but never heard from 'em. lance Lockarm later told me their screwed up mail system was one reason it was shut down.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:45pm
Austin Rich:

↳ Song: "A Strange Story" by "The Tape-beatles"
When I was in college, and taking some art classes for my degree, I recall playing the Tape-beatles for one of my teachers, and blowing her mind.
