You can see Elvis/Nick/Los Straitjackets at a former minor league ballpark in Bridgeport CT (RIP Bluefish!) in the upper deck for $80. No thanks. Last time I saw EC, it was underwhelming. Nick and LS, however, were great last summer.

Agree, Michael, re: "making of" a documentary. I had a boss years ago who asked us to change something we'd put a lot of effort into. He said no one cares how difficult it was, they just want the finished product. Was annoyed at the time but the lesson has stuck with me.

Ernie K-Doe, when he was still around and "running" his bar (with a lot of help from his wife Antoinette), would sometimes make the whole place be quiet and listen to Kenny sing "The Gambler".
I tell you, I reconsidered Mr. Rogers from then on, and now really appreciate his work. It's nice to see him with Lionel Richie, who wrote one of his biggest hits.

Damn, strings. I saw the Tams open for Bo Diddley in about 1988. They only had one original member, and he just rolled out on a Rascal, sang the one line "Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy" and rolled back off, to a loud ovation. He actually sounded a lot like this version.
