Wrap up your weekend with an excursion through the flowery underbelly of the 60s and 70s where the roots are deep, the weeds are plentiful and the grass is high. Sunday will never be the same.

Some people do like the bad mojo. Trent Reznor acquired the Cielo Drive home before it was razed. I suppose he's an outlier. I've always found NIN cheesy a blandly juvenile.

Speaking of the Elevators, Roky's "I Walked With A Zombie" would be appropriate Zombie Day caroling material.

"In the crossed-out sections of Bugliosi’s notes, to my astonishment, DeCarlo described three visits by Terry Melcher to the Manson Family—after the murders."
Remembered something really freaky with Melcher was happening. The notes are reproduced in book.

The early Groovies stuff is raw rock 'n' roll. Dave Edmunds produced Shake Some Action, which is indeed something of a masterpiece if you're into early Beatles. The following albums were also good, with a cover song here or there (e.g., "Feel a Whole Lot Better) worth your time.
