i remember in 1998, MS went in on terraserver, which had 97% of the US coverage w/ B&W orthoimagery (which by 2000 had color imagery, and higher resolution for urban areas). This was 7 years before google maps. This, of course, later became Bing Maps...

LesPaul said when he was helping invent the Electric Gittar - he just mounted it onto a rail of wood - as no other resonator body was actually necessary ...& when he brought it Live - people were amused or ignored him ...so he sawed a Gittar in half & glued the sides to it - & then people thot it was amazing. He said he realized then people listen with their eyes as much as anything...
Actually Gittars have the bodies to resonate & horns to balance weight & contours to fit to us...
