The only burlesque shows I've been to are the local group that does The Empire Strips Back (a Star Wars parody that tours the world) and Game of Thrones themed one.

When I got free tickets to the GoT one, I took a friend and she said it wasn't genuine burlesque and too smutty. I'm confused. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I am obsessed with that classic noir Gun Crazy (1950)
- so freaking great and still plays-out so cinematically startling ! I was so surprised to find out the magnificent Peggy Cummings was from the British Isles ! (Thought she was from USA). John Dall was never better. It’s simply a Noir masterpiece.

Don’t sleep on the original “postman rings twice”.
Would be an interesting double feature with the worthy 1981 remake (penned by the now questionable Mamet) with Jack Nicholson & Jessica Lange - better than it sounds. Still, the Garfield & Turner is hard to top.
