the fact that it was stolen while it was unlocked might give you a better chance of getting it back.
i feel like if someone is cutting locks they are doing it "professionally" and have ways of making sure that bike doesn't turn up. in your case there is a decent chance you might spot someone just riding it around

Yea except I put up posters offering a reward so now they’re probably hiding it… someone told me they think they saw it & it was painted silver. I’m less upset about the whole thing now. still gonna keep looking but just enjoying the activity/process. Way to meet people, get out & bike around, explore pawn shops etc. lol

You’d think the thief would go for the reward tho… idk. Maybe they think it’s a trap… or it really did make it out of my area. Supposedly the pawn shops are supposed to report everything they get to the popo but idk if they really do or not. Maybe depends on the shop & item. Good question for quora.
