Have any of you listened to Jake Holmes Dazed and Confused? Wow! I was shocked that Jimmy Page would do that. every little nuance was copied. even the song title. And it was sold at a merch table on vinyl and Jimmy was at a show. at least a year prior. yet I think he gets writing credit. But Jake won in a court of law and finally got justice.

I had friends from high school days get all arrogant on facebook because they had law degrees and I didn't. Tagged me for my legal opinions on other things. also some musicians I know separately got all stuck up about it. Defended it. OBVIOUSLY they didn't review the evidence or they would have agreed with me. worst case of plagiarism I've ever seen.

I don't have big issues with songs reminding me of other songs either-basically, scales have 8 notes, most pop tunes have 3-6 chords, there are a limited number of possibilities mathematically. Everyone learns by copying someone they admire. Something so original you've never heard anything like it is fairly rare. (but sometimes the copying can be egregious, though that line can be hard to locate).
Anyway, my long way of saying I dug the show, gotta run now, Thanks!

@doctor jazz… an old man from nearby called me… he saw one of my flyers at a gas station. He’s bought it from someone else. He was nice. Also if you’re superstitious you can credit St. Anthony and Sydd Barrett’s ghost for their possible involvement in the reclamation process! I believe they played their part haha.

I still have my led zeppelin records. I got super into them as a teenager. I hate when the rich and connected take advantage of the poor and powerless. It will always piss me off . I will still keep their records, Gary Glitter's records, Ike Turner's records, etc.
