It was an absolutely fantastic red sparkle setup with a 2 sided vertical bass drum/tom-tom top. Quality mounted bongos on either side ! And a hi-hat plus crash cymbal setup. I nearly flipped when I heard he had sold it ! 🙄 Ugh. I So wish I had it to play now. It was extremely easy to port around compared to a regular drumset !

One thing that changed this season was the league decreased the number of in-division games each season from 19 to 13, so the AL East no longer plays a bunch of in-division games where the outcome for the ALE's overall W-L has to be .500. Now the strong AL East teams get to beat up more on teams from weaker divisions. Really exposes which divisions are stronger and weaker.

When I was a youngster I had a friend who played guitar in a bar band and would sometimes 'roadie' for them to drink on the cheap and their bass player had this bit while they were doing stage banter where he'd make his bass make this realistic fart sound to punctuate the terrible jokes. It would never fail to crack up the drunks in attendance so it did it way too often.

I have a few wonky cassette recordings of my dads aging Dixie-Jazz band playing things like “Watermelon Man” that are just “off” enough to make them funny to hear. I took copious notes on all the artists and chat suggestions for future research.👏☮️. Looking forward to a re-listen via the archives.
