Sleep paralysis is also the most likely explanation of Alien Abduction experiences by the way.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:07am
Krys O.:

Crikey! Sorry about that, Jan. I used to have night terrors and sleepwalking episodes when I was a kid. Mom would say at the breakfast table, "Do you remember running through the house last night in your sleep?" They stopped when I was about 15 or 16. Now I rarely remember my dreams. That could be good or it could be bad.

Jan Turkenburg:

With me sleep paralysis started round that time, but it became increasingly creepy over years. "sleep hygiene" is important in preventing: wind down, have a short walk outside, no computer screens, no TV an hour before going to bed.

Definitely. I used to get petit mal seizures after a concussion when I was about 5 years old. It was a playground accident.

My girlfriend has had sleep paralysis
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 11:45am
Jan Turkenburg:

You might help her by waking her up when she's groaning in her sleep. Willeke used to wake me up, keeping the attacks short. Sometimes you can free yourself if you realize what it is and remain calm, but that's not always the case. At least not with me.

About the 'incubus': during sleep paralysis one often experiences/feels/sees or hears a menacing/intruding presence. Sleep paralysis is mentioned in this article: en.wikipedia.org...

I once saw The Space Lady live. I usually don't get stuff signed anymore, but she was such a nice person (as told by venue/org staff) I did that time, just to get the signature of a great person

That's nice, Fred. Somewhere I have a couple of CDR that I bought direct from The Space Lady in the early 00s after learning of her from the Otis / WFMU 365 day project.

I always do dishes right away, so by now it's part of eating. Kind of the way I conditioned myself to always hold the keys before shutting a door
