That was nice. Kid Congo Powers and I went to see The Ike and Tina Turner Review at The Aquarius Theater in Hollywood in 1973. The Staples Singers opened the show. Totally nuts, right?
Jill Kroesen:

I started singing for the first time right after hearing Tina singing 3 O’Clock in the morning.

Hi Jill, I've noticed on the last few Ned Sublette Post-Mambo Zooms that you have been participating. I try to attend if I don't have to work. I'm on there as 'Ray B". Have you gone on any of Ned's trips?
Oleh from Pittsburgh:

Sistah Ray! Oh yes
Jill Kroesen:

Hi WR!! That’s great that you are on Ned’s zooms!! I’ll look for you. I haven’t gone with Ned, but I went to Cuba for a 2 week drum class with someone he recommended in 2009. Have you?

Hey gang! Just got in from my daughters’ school choir concert. Hope that’s a valid excuse?

Who was doing electronics on this Ochs song? It really has the oscillator signature of the LA band USA, specifically Joe Byrd. Great!

Yes, I agree with Jill Nice cover this was the first Dylan song my older son was really into when about 14. I was just listening to Dylan’s version while mowing the lawn, remembering Andrew singing the refrain ahhh
