The Radio Is Broken is a three-hour spelunk through the canyons and fissures of humanity's collective unconscious. It sounds as if a field recording of the Culture Industry were a sonic juggernaut barreling down a rickety track—except that tunnel ahead is just painted onto a sheer cliff wall. With occasional forays into what might pass for "normal" music. Prerequisite journey: Cratedigger's Lung

Artist Track Album Label Year Comments Images Approx. start time
Brigid Berlin  "Old Bags In Shorts..."   Favoriting Andy Warhol's Bad (Dir. Jed Johnson)  New World Pictures  1977  A fantastic film. The Warhol camp's response to the shot fired over their bow by upstart John Waters. It practically wallows in bad taste and tackiness and extreme nihilism even for a Warhol film.
It was the sole film by director Jed Johnson, who was a lover of Andy and who also perished aboard TWA 800.

"...Cheryl E. Leonard builds and plays electroacoustic instruments made out of natural materials such as bones, driftwood, shells, seaweed, feathers, and stones. Jon Leidecker (aka 'Wobbly') responds to the sounds of her creations with synthesized animal voices driven by machine listening. The inaugural collaboration of these two veterans of the San Francisco Bay Area electronic music scene can be heard on the album Multiple Park, a collection of works assembled from both studio and outdoor performances, radio broadcasts and field recordings, as well as outright hallucinations — an album which evokes an abstract yet literal world that exists in the space between city life and utter wilderness."

Hi Rich!

The industry of radio truly is broken. The iHeart Radio conspiracy has only made things even worse by monopolizing the industry, thereby shunning subgenres that aren't condsidered "profitable". Prizes doesn't delay the swag, some of the dj premiums that aren't music can be unpredictable getting made. I just got my swag today. Haven't opened the box yet. My guess of one item with long delivery time was the Hinky Dinky insulated shopping bag, until someone tells me the got theirs weeks ago. But I am just guessing. Could be a combination of reasons.
