Many years ago, I interned at a French pharma called Servier. They were the same, despite the single payer system. A cesspool. They even had a corruption subsidiary, dedicated to paying politicians. And fascist vibes too: at one point employees were expected to contribute to pay for a statue of the founder, and they had strict racist and antisemitic hiring policies. A friend's father had to prove he had "pure" ancestry from Brittany after he submitted a picture where he was deemed suspiciously tanned after a skiing vacation

They were legally a non-profit with "independent" labs joining. Those would regularly fold and be recreated under a different name with the same people, for tax evasion purpose. Blatant, but the corruption division did its job well

have not worked much in the corporate world but what litttle i have there were always signs of fascism and raciism. i worked at a unilever headquarters working on an exhibit from the schomburg center for black history month. in the lobby were two monitors playing fox news with lightboxes of unilever product framing them. the first year we installed a series of photos about black history near their conference rooms, the next year the exhibit was moved to a hallway near the loading dock.
