A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

Thanks for the community, with caring, concerned and intelligent people.
It’s been Pandemic Redux for we of the NE in so-called North America. Haven’t been out since Tues afternoon; kept the kids home from school yesterday; and expecting my parents arriving on a flight in a few hours.
Great opening as usual, Trouble!

Was talking recently with another dad at the kids’ playground after school and he’s currently reading the Robert Carl book. Must get to that at some point!
Currently shifting to some light reading, from a James Baldwin book on his interactions and observations of “the law” to a book on Mark Twain’s journey westward (which he told in his hilarious adventure document, “Roughing It”), in which after some galavanting prior to the Civil War, resulted in him writing in earnest. Man, the guy’s life is truly incomparable.
What are you reading?
You might like, from what I’ve heard, the latest book Chris Hedges is involved with (he writes the intro and was intimately involved with the project)
