Yes, Jan, fires still burning in Canada and wind / weather pushing some NJ/NYC way again. Not good but there are many areas suffering much worse than around here.

In 2018, a bill cleared the U.S. Senate, with Republicans Lisa Murkowski, John Kennedy, and Susan Collins joining all 49 Democrats but the House majority denied the bill a hearing.[72] Individual states have been trying to pass legislation to make net neutrality a requirement within their state, overriding the FCC's decision. California has successfully passed its own net neutrality act, which the United States Department of Justice challenged on a legal basis.[73] On February 8, 2021, the U.S. Justice Department withdrew its challenge to California's data protection law. Federal Communications Commission Acting Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel voiced support for an open internet and restoring net neutrality.[74]

the young Buddy Ebsen painting was from artists Ken Barr
Ken Barr, working name of Kenneth Barr (17 March 1933 – 25 March 2016), was a Scottish artist who drew and painted DC and Marvel comics and magazines, Doc Savage magazine covers, science fiction and fantasy novel and magazine covers.[1] His style evolved into powerful "photo-realism" depictions of heroes similar to the paintings of James Bama.[2]

My ex was involved with Raymond Scott tribute concerts done in the mid-1990s and one year Robert Moog and Wendy Carlos attended. Moog shared his recollections of Scott's electronic music instruments and one of those was on stage. Before the show started, Wendy and Robert were happily poking away under the cover of the instrument looking at its inner workings. Moog had lunch with a group of us. Such a sweet and gentle person.
