i hated disco in general in the late 70s when all my rock artists sold out and turned to shit... but there were exceptions (i liked b.t.express) and one day part of my crew of hippiegirls dropped by after school to be shocked by the record i had on: "physical" by Olivia Newton-John.

The 1984 Olympics in LA was a time of bliss and wonder. Locals got the hell out of town, and those of us who remained got to enjoy so much of LA's art scene, perfectly displayed during the Arts Festival.
