Japanese people are really strict about privacy. Much more than Americans are. That's one reason FB is kind of a failure here in Japan, people don't want to use their real names. No kidding.

Yeah. On a side note many popular USA websites are not popular here because they require real names. For example, Dropbox was (I don't know about now) but they leaked the private information of about 7 million Japanese people and the government came in and shit on their heads.

haha, Andy Breckman has been hosting a comedy show on the WFMU mothership called "7 second Delay" for ages. he made a nice chunk of money on TV as a writer and producer, so every fundraising Marathon, they have games and stunts designed to "soak" him - take Andy's money.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:25pm
fred:

↳ Mike Rogers @5:19
It's hard to explain. Nuts and bolts is Andy has to match pledges made during a few minutes. It's more than that on both sides, a renewal of commitment to the station. Video there: www.wfmu.org...

808 State def made some classics. Too bad they were saddled with the term "trip-hop," another dumb genre name that snarky British music journalists foisted on us that we seem to be stuck with. See also: "krautrock," "New Romantics," "shoegaze," "New Wave of British Heavy Metal," etc...

Yep, for a while there, the finale of "Monk" was the highest-rated cable drama. He wrote for the hugely popular David Letterman and "Saturday Night Live" shows, so feel no guilt in soaking him! He can afford it.

Avatar 5:50pm
Mike Rogers:

↳ Mr Fab @5:46
God. That was so long ago. I often was hired to do events and I often did it at punk shows (between band set ups). It was weird, I'd do one night and people were thrwoing money on the stage to me. The next night, it was like a funeral.... My best joke? I can't remember.... But on good nights, I would be windering what these people are laughing so hard about? I'd ask someone in the audeince and they'd say, your facial expressions were hilarious. So, I did that for about six months in 1977? Robyn Williams stole all my jokes.
