A lot of that time was homeless. We reestablished contact in the early 2000s, but he ended up succumbing to numerous health issues a few years ago. He left two daughters behind, whose mother was also an addict, and died of an OD years before my friend. I think of them all the time when I hear these segments, and see the homeless here in Baltimore. It's such a sad thing for people to be living like that.

The Black Keys, who I thought were dreadful, opened. It was almost 2 hours after the Black Keys’ set that the Detroit Cobras assembled on the stage. A good portion of the audience booed them because of this. Rachel was clearly not in the best shape, hanging on the mic stand to keep from falling to the floor. She berated the audience for their jeering and went on to perform a powerhouse set. I went on to see them a bunch of times through the years, and they were always a good time. Rachel had such a powerful voice. RIP Rachel!

A lot of that time was homeless. We reestablished contact in the early 2000s, but he ended up succumbing to numerous health issues a few years ago. He left two daughters behind, whose mother was also an addict, and died of an OD years before my friend. I think of them all the time when I hear these segments, and see the homeless here in Baltimore. It's such a sad thing for people to be living like that.

The Black Keys, who I thought were dreadful, opened. It was almost 2 hours after the Black Keys’ set that the Detroit Cobras assembled on the stage. A good portion of the audience booed them because of this. Rachel was clearly not in the best shape, hanging on the mic stand to keep from falling to the floor. She berated the audience for their jeering and went on to perform a powerhouse set. I went on to see them a bunch of times through the years, and they were always a good time. Rachel had such a powerful voice. RIP Rachel!
