Hello. Roy cannot take your call now. He is outside of our reception area. If you care to leave a comment he will respond when back from holiday. In the meantime, listen to the sounds he provided today along with playlist items appearing out of nowhere, like magic!

Hello Roy, where/whenever you may be! And thanx for covering the reception desk, Otis.

↳ Song: "I Only Have Eyes For You" by "The Flamingo's"
This song is Alistair Cook-in-an-easychair masterpiece

↳ Song: "You Showed Me" by "Herb Larsen"
Recently picked this album up by Herb. Here is more info on this Command recordings artist out of Enoch Light's stable - ironleg.wordpress.com...

I'm certainly familiar with the Command label - like the cover art requests, I "demand Command" - but don't know this cat.

Thank you preparing today's show Roy! Hope you are having a good holiday.

Hello Otis, Mr Fab and all the feliz people listening!

Some Sheena's news:
-The Mike Rogers Show is now a big, Big, BIG 3 hours, at its new time, Saturday nights@ 8pm. The last hour might be dedicated to a super special Japanese DJ that Mike will be hosting.

-earlier today was the return of a WFMU legend, Bill Zebub and his "Vortex of Chaos."
on WFMU since the '90s (!), and now Sheena's will be hosting his weekly descent into the dark realms.
Considering how where I live is under a 'severe heat advisory,' i am perfectly ok with some darkness in the middle of the day.

↳ Song: "Duwies Y Dre" by "Carwin Ellis"
This music is reminding me of something but I can't tell what it's reminding me of. I am not sure if I have experienced something like this before.

But then again, if I am not able to remember something then it does not mean I am being reminded of something. It's 11:30 PM here, I have had a long enough day haha.

Reminds me a lot of the sound of the 90s label Siesta in Spain but also a bit of Burgalat's Tricital label in France. Also, lack of sleep last night and a wandering mind make for a genre-dizzy nutter here.

↳ Otis Fodder @4:32
Interesting. I am not aware of those labels so will check 'em out at the earliest. Thank you for teaching me something new, Otis!

Ooh lack of sleep and a wandering mind is all what I've had this week. I can relate to the feeling.

However now with Tito, reminds me of summers in San Francisco down on Market St years back.

The Siesta label is pretty wonderful. Lounge to bossa to pop, modern sounds with lovely production. Have fun diving, water is warm!

Tricital released April March too, god bless em!

↳ Song: "Hong Kong Mambo" by "Tito Puente"
Even though the song is called "Hong Kong Mambo" for some reason I started imagining Godzilla doing a solo mambo. Perhaps Godzilla and Hong Kong could do a mambo dance together.

Otis Fodder:

↳ Mr. Oxford @4:38
I'm sure somebody here could mix it or mash it up! Future radio ideas there.

I meant Godzilla and King Kong....and I'm realizing I read the title as "King Kong Mambo" oh my I need to sleep soon hahaha.
