Favoriting August 4, 2023: My Pathetic 80's Show Number 3
More of the same from two or three weeks ago: barely surviving the 1980's, this time, with Spinal Tap, Neil Young (you should know by know WHAT album I will play), Andy Kaufman and a guilty pleasure tribute to Paul McCartney. Plus some left over OTS stuff from the early NegLand show.

Listen to this show: Pop-up listen Pop-up player!

I also seem to recall the music video was produced first, then the feature film.

It's not just you, because we keep having to restart the player as well.

Restarting the player brings back audio, but not necessarily for long.

Yeah, same here. No silence. Just jumping from stream to stream.

The medley Negativland is having with the curated stream may be better than the originals.

I'm stopping the stream now, thanks, to listen to www.youtube.com... , "How Did Cheech Marin Get the Inspiration for Born In East L.A.?" Thanks.

I have to say this is the most beautifully composed cut-up ever (unintentionally & randomly) put together. In fact, it's like listening to a live broadcast of OTE.

The cover art for this was painted by Youngstown, Ohio artist, Chris Yambar. The original art was a 5' x 5' painting - gifted to the band at the Cleveland venue, Peabody's during their tour in '92 or '93'. Chris was an over-the-top elective, prurient-yet-devoutly Christian evangelical dude before he passed a couple of years ago. He was a huge Negativland fan. He was also a writer for the Simpson's Bongo Comics.
