The stream sounds are warming us up for ya. Hi Nick.

Hi WR! Hi room! Would happily fill in for some of Lady C. but I only have two hours of music today exactly.

Attila Zoller! He’s very important to the music scene in my part of Vermont. He founded the VT Jazz Center in Brattleboro. https://vtjazz.org/about/history/attila-zoller/

I didn't clearly hear your intro, so maybe you said something I didn't hear, but I've heard maybe you are planning a hiatus, Nick.

Oh thanks, I'll try and get closer to the mic. Yes, sadly got only a few more shows left in me.. I hope to be able to pop in when another Drummerstreamer or Rock n Soul bunny needs a fill-in. The last weekly show will be September 3rd.

Oh no! I’m sad you’re hopping off the schedule, DJNGN.

Yeah can't keep this up too much longer, need a break. I thought the end of the summer was the ideal breakup time.

any chance we're gonna hear klaus doldinger/passport 'schirokko'?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42pm
WR:

And my comment about not hearing the opening comments well had more to do with my dinner cooking noise than your broadcast. Hear you just fine on this break as I sit and contemplate which frozen fruit desert to have, pineapple or mango.

Tuning in tardy... After the fiasco at Rubicam's Business College that was today's Ritual Music, I went for a swim..needed to flop myself in water.

yep, the upside is that I am totes ready for next Sunday... I just have to put a fidget spinner on every finger so I don't obsessively tweak and change the sets in the next 6 days! Maybe I should get some fidget spinners for my toes too, just in case.

We never reveal our musical selections until the day of, so sometimes we have to scramble due to overlap. We often create a loose armature for the show...by choosing a theme, but today was completely freeform. Her instructions for me this week were: "Go off on your sets! The crazier the better 🎉🎉🎉"

Sounds fun to collaborate with someone on this! I enjoy round robin track picks when I'm playing vinyl with DJ mates, but never thought to try to split the playlist-making for this show. Maybe an idea for when I come back for a guest spot.

Good Luck Nick!

Hill Country Fox:

↳ djnogoodnick @8:43
We break it up into alternating 30 min sets so when I am pulling a show together I can break it up into bitesize sessions. 30 min sets are a breeze compared to working on a full show...so fun and frenetic and you have no idea what is coming up next by the other person. It makes it so much fun. Kinda why we started collabing... to keep it fresh for Lady C. Plus we hype each other up the whole time: "ahhh great pick", "ohhhh I love this one", "whoaaaaa best transition ever"...dj'ing with the buddy system helps stave off the burnout.
Avatar 8:53pm
djnogoodnick:

Ah, it would be great to be able to pass the whole baton electronically, or have two streamers connect somehow. Sounds like a great thing you have going!
