↳ tim @12:26
@tim - early '80s I think. I reverse engineered some info to get to that stage, because maybe 5-6 years ago I heard a cover of one of the songs from that Frida album, a reggae-esque tune. Sure enough, Collins did a very passable production of a reggae rhythm with some skilled studio musicians and Frida sang a song called "I See Red" on it. All the songs on her album were covers, I believe. The big hit was a tune called "Something Going On".

Wow! It looks like the Asheton era per discogs. I was not aware of that connection, Tony! I did a Drop In Show on the Rock'n'Soul stream on Saturday. I did a Destroy All Monsters set. 1 art collective DAM song, 2 Asheton/Niagra DMA songs and 1 Dark Carnival song.

Yes they were. Maybe no so much the sound, but 80s Sonic Youth stole DAM's vibe 100%.

Hahaha - yes it is. My theory is that all great rock'n'roll should sound like a Dodge Charger on a freeway.
