Outrageous indeed. It's like playing real estate games. We were offered 30,000 for an old property and then it went up to 75,000 within a few weeks. (it was only valued at 30). I said this is california, something is going on here we aren't taking their offeres. We got them up to almost a million. I'm not kidding. the only reason I didn't hold out for more was I was afraid they would get us for eminent domain.
totally reminds me of record collecting.

It is. There are pockets of California that might as well be rural Appalachia. and predator real estate buyers know it. We had old farmers on the same street who sold places with more acreage and homes that weren't falling apart for only 75,000. This was post 2000 too.
  4:16pm
Cheree July:

I grew up in practically Metro Appalacia. You ain't kidding, Debbie.

DJ BONG 'LUDES:

that Milk 'n Cookies reissue is hard to find too
Avatar 4:20pm
Debbie Davenport:

↳ Cheree July @4:16
Is that near Jersey? I've never been there or to Jersey. But when a Revenge Girl moved near me she'd come to my home and see my friends and say this is like Appalacia! You don't get it. (I'd think to myself no YOU don't get it. I've seen way more rural situations with characters to match. I guess compared to NYC Oregon does seem hillbilly.
Avatar 🎸 4:20pm
Owo Org At John:

↳ Debbie Davenport @4:13
Arizona's starting to get that way. I have a friend who lives in Mesa, and she gets predatory real estate agents calling her all the time, or coming by her house - trying to get her to sell!
  4:21pm
Cheree July:

Debbie, more like Northeast Pennsylvania.
Avatar 4:21pm
