	10:28pm Dean: I tend to embrace the moment. Insomnia, like so many bad health conditions, is fascinating to experience (for me). But then I went to my dentist this a.m. for a cleaning. I find it wholly restful. Sometimes if I read two or three pages of poetry. Sometimes if I think pleasant thoughts.

	♥ 10:33pm zzz: definitely some studies showing lower doses melatonin, like 0.3 mg are more effective than larger doses (3 mg) at least in a controlled study in elderly people with insomnia (maybe not exactly Sam’s demographic). another problem with melatonin in the UsA is it’s not regulated so contents are all over the place and some found things like CBD in melatonin gummies. NOt preaching.

	10:45pm Dean: Neidlinger played with the LA Chamber Orchestra, as did a high school mate of mine, a violinist. I remember attending an LACO concert and noticing one of the violins: "Holy crap, that's Richard!"

	10:28pm Dean: I tend to embrace the moment. Insomnia, like so many bad health conditions, is fascinating to experience (for me). But then I went to my dentist this a.m. for a cleaning. I find it wholly restful. Sometimes if I read two or three pages of poetry. Sometimes if I think pleasant thoughts.

NOt preaching.
