Oh, yes!

What do we think about the dream-state, folks? Is it (A) Worthy of analysis and thought? (B) The mind's detritus, randomly assembled? (C) Something else (please specify)?
  5:20pm
PB:

Beach Fossils or DIIV? Hard to tell. Both are great. DIIV’s Oshin album is brilliant.

Jordan:

B-detritus

sarah:

i believe art lives in the dream space. it can be whatever you want it to be, or take what you want to take from it. some choose to leave it on the floor, others make movies from their dreams ...says the lynchian queen lol *sweats*
  5:24pm
sarah:

we're crossing genres here, people. strap in
  5:25pm
brcw:

I think that further's "B"'s point, the dream-space is things the mind doesn't quite know what to do with -- and then assembles in different configurations. What does it reveal? What does it reflecct?

Kind of taken onboard the idea that Dreams are a natural restorative function for the mind just as sleep is for the body. The night work for the file workers of information & experience...
Then also all the basic conceptions that Psychology has of the Unconscious. That there is a whole part - certainly the larger part - of us which is both Us but also not Us in terms of our ego identity awareness. I don't think, then, that you can have a 'Dream Dictionary' where This symbolizes That - but 'interpreting' Dreams is like 'interpreting' Art like Paintings or Films. That is - the Unconscious part of Us is 'speaking' to us not in some code - but in the 'language' natural to itself - & in the way it can articulate to Us the best way that it can...
I mean ...the thing that *really* strikes me about Dreaming is ...when I wake up - realizing there was this entire completely separate Narrative of my Consciousness that I did not Consciously ~ Willfully create or imagine - yet - while Dreaming - it was as rich, complete & 'real' as anything I experience ! That to me is utterly amazing...

Loving this set. Was my extremely Lynchian dream earlier this week a premonition of this set? Whole dream was me vacuuming a swarm of fake lady bugs off my curtain and then turning to my left and seeing a frog sitting on my floor just staring at me.
