@fred&tomtom&ngh: re Dance: i have only seen one performance by (nyc based?) DORRANCE DANCE (Michelle Dorrance) and was utterly satisfied with the performances, concert & overall vibes. Utilizing rhythmic tap is only part of her approach. if i recall correctly, the show included great live music accompaniment with Toshi Reagon and Tyondai Braxton in person! It was an excellent experience.

For sure, there is a heavy dose of paranoia in Dick's writing. I guess the detective work in his books had more to do with exploring what parts of reality are shared and what are personal? I love how fast and pulpy his books were

I remember reading a posthumously publish book by Philip K Dick called Lies, Inc which I think prepared me for surveillance based advertising. The main character is followed around by a drone operated by his creditors but also advertises to him. It's a truly weird book
