Many of Gordon's film feature some kind of Gigantism, The Amazing Colossal Man, Village of the Giants, The Spider, etc. But grasshoppers are herbivores, aren't they? Are there any real examples of them attacking Humans?

The review is about how science has turned from something at least potentially benign to something almost entirely destructive in contemporary SciFi films.
