A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

Always hits the spot to land here.
Had been catching up on some clips of sports radio (which is generally so toxic) for what amounts to for a local football fan as one of those incredibly anticipated weeks. It’s Jets/Giants this weekend and it’s completely taken me over.
So this break from all that (which really amounts to an addiction) is so welcomed as always, but particularly now.
Need to commune with you radicals!
Have not been able to check in lately. Last week was in FLA visiting my folks, and drove a car they gifted us back with my kid. First day there was a local library sale in a gym. So I’ve got a box and a half of books and some cd’s (which didn’t make my partner happy) still in the back of the car.
Beautiful day here. Up on the roof with the usual, and about to hang some laundry.
Solidarity, folks!

Heard him speak once. His intelligence, grasp of radical history and commitment to using art to dramatize moments were so impressive and powerful.
Went to an exhibition about a decade ago at a Bklyn art house in DUMBO where he had a studio in the basement. It was there that he told us the story of the New Orleans slave revolt, and that he was in the process of organizing a reenactment. Almost joined!
