I'm pretty sure it's because I remember seeing a choir performance at my high school by a bunch of jocks and unmusical kids who enrolled into the music class thinking it'll be easy grades. They sang, seemingly against their will, Vanilla Ice's "Ice, Ice, Baby". The whole auditorium laughed their butts off. Any choir performance is better than that.

I'm pretty sure it's because I remember seeing a choir performance at my high school by a bunch of jocks and unmusical kids who enrolled into the music class thinking it'll be easy grades. They sang, seemingly against their will, Vanilla Ice's "Ice, Ice, Baby". The whole auditorium laughed their butts off. Any choir performance is better than that.
