My older daughter (30 in a few weeks) is very open to different musics, often is interested in stuff I like (not the dissonant stuff). My younger daughter is not as varied in tastes (punk-pop, punk-hardcore, punk-punk, All Time Low all the time), but has more tolerance for the dissonant sounds (will often join me for Destination Out). Go figure...

Yeah, picked up Rat Saw God after hearing them on Michele and I think Ken's shows? Got it on CD either because I thought it would be good for the car or because I hit the wrong button. Or maybe because the LP was $30. Lots of possibilities is what I'm saying.

I feel fortunate I never liked anything I'm ashamed of now, really.
Rather - I'm ashamed of what I remember I couldn't get to yet.

Another angle is ...what I like most from any year or decade or part of a decade is probly not what got the most ink in Billboard. Anyway. With the 1960s being the biggest exception (say - TheBeatles), maybe. But even there - the various Undergrounds...

Lowrey rules. Inspired by The Band's Garth Hudson most likely, Jukka Gustavson of Wigwam played them. What I did not know they were used in The Who's Baba O' Riley's intro, and The Beatles Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds etc. Far cry from the more conventional sounds The band and Wigwam got from them for instance
