I don't believe we've played any, "Let George Do It," on Dimestore before. It's another detective show, and not too bad, either. But I only know a few shows, and I've never done a wide overview. I may run it on Dimestore someday, but for now: here's a Holiday entry!

Bob Bailey - who played George Valentine in this show - also played the lead in, "Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar," for a number of years. Johnny Dollar was played by a TON of different people during it's run, and many people consider the date the last episode of Johnny Dollar aired to be the official END of the Golden Age of Radio. (Sometime in September, 1962.)

Baby Snooks was played by a woman who was 40 years older than the "character" they were playing. They played this character until 1950, when Fanny Brice - the actor - was very old.

Frank Morgan is probably best known for playing a number of characters in "The Wizard of Oz." But he was a comedian for a number of years, who had a gimmick sort of like this routine, here. I ADORE Frank Morgan, and I think his comedy is PERFECT. If I could do comedy, I would love to do something like what he does. (It's like a proto-Lord Buckley, sort of.)
