Hi DJ NOGOOGNICK! Remind me in 20 minutes to check on the cornbread that is in the oven, OK? **LOL**

I totally went to the laundrymat and started folding while cupcakes were in the oven yesterday.

Cornbread, mmmmm. One of these days will try to make some (this week was all turkey and a turkey potato side, and making more than 100 latkes, frozen for the family Chanukah party tomorrow.
Avatar 7:08pm

Yes, cornbread sounds excellent. Greetings Rich!!

The bed music is a bit high, hard to make out the speech (on my set up anyway)

Noted and thank you! It's been a while and I reconstructed the setup in a different spot.

cornbread is easy. one of these days I wanna learn to make decent latkes.
Avatar 7:20pm
djnogoodnick:

Should be time to check the cornbread now. What's it accompanying?
  Swag For Life Member 7:38pm
WR:

↳ Song: "Sun Chid" by "Ian Carr's Nucleus"
cornbread was taken out of oven just in time.

I have that Ian Carr Sun Child on vinyl but have not played it in a long long time. Enjoyed it.
  Swag For Life Member 7:40pm
WR:

Dinner is collard greens, mango candied sweet potatoes, homemade ancho salsa (first time try) roasted chicken.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42pm

↳ WR @7:16
Latkes are easy (at least from an ingredient standpoint), potatos, onion, eggs, +/- matzo meal or a small amount of flour. They're very labor intensive, though-all the moisture has to be squeezed out of the grated potatoes and onions, and watch closely as you deep fry small portions for them.
Avatar 7:44pm
djnogoodnick:

That all sounds good! I have sundubu jigae queued up to make after this.. Love Nucleus, Isotope and that whole UK thread--such a unique sound.

The jigae sounds good Wednesday night we went out and had Korean. Was trying to decide between jigae & bee bim bap and this time went with the bbb.

I've been living in Sunnyside Qns for the last two years so I have access to all kinds of high quality Asian groceries. Added some Korean, Thai and Japanese to my repertoire
Avatar 8:02pm

↳ WR @7:55
I didn't even see you mentioned Sunnyside. Was it a seafood place with booths and K-pop on video screens?

Hey Wendy! How's the wilds of New Hampshire, or is it Vermont?
  Swag For Life Member 8:13pm
WR:

↳ djnogoodnick @8:02
No, but I was last there 15 years ago so it may have changed.
  8:15pm
wendy del formaggio:

It’s Vermont, but I can see New Hampshire from my house, so it’s both. Oh, they are WILD, for sure. I just got back from a new holiday party my friend established: Pie Day Friday. The day after TG. Everybody brings pie, we eat it, and tell fucked up stories and make jokes and generally enjoy each other’s company.

wow, pie party! Sounds great. And some cheese, too?
  8:22pm
wendy del formaggio:

Nothing esoteric or lysergic. Just stuff like cranberries, blueberries, cherries, pumpkin, apples. We’re all mostly beyond our trouble-making years. Now we just laugh about it.

Meanwhile, I’m glad you’re filling in. This set kicks ass!

  8:28pm
wendy del formaggio:

Little Danny! It was really lovely. Winter holidays are hard for me, but my friend who hosts Pie Day Friday (and Solstice dinner, and Xmas Eve Open House) is turning them around. It’s a mitzvah.

This reminds me of all the great interstitial music from my favorite 70s detective shows. It's so good. And NICE SEGUE between this and "Bad Heads." I've started getting into Embryo this past year.
