They opened with the Beach Boys’ “This Whole World” and nailed it. We stuck around a bit after and Michael came out so I introduced him to Domenic because I thought they might have his book since they are such Brian Wilson nuts. Their dad was on his mailing list and of course is a major fan (named his kid Brian).

Thank you, Dan. They said I did have cataracts but wouldn’t have don’t the surgery for that alone. They also put in a really strong lens that is supposed to give me 20/20 for life. Better than LASIK, which can fade.

Yes, he lobbied for that for about 20 years and Capitol called him crazy. Our friends, a group of very talented younger musicians, became Brian’s band, and gave him the confidence to face and enjoy those songs. The project had given him a nervous breakdown. Dom and a friend finally got through to the label. He was very involved with the songs on the box and the order, and wrote liner notes. Then Capitol and MW screwed him out of most credit and a Grammy.
