I see :) Understandable. I did xams/holidays shifts in the past. Tbh we had fun. Games, movies, drinks and all. The building was empty and we were keeping the lights on and be ready for anything. Double pay too!

When SWAG comes it's always a good feeling. Hard to be sour about customs. I can't recall paying customs for mine but it's been a while. Being penniless sucks.

indeed :) Rai Radio 2 is our lefty/cultural radio. I like their shows but it's been a while. I'm hooked on FMU all the time now. RR3 has two very cool ones I remember fondly: "Six degrees of seapration" and Fahrenheit. Former is about starting from a person and listeners have to guess the degress and the final connection. All through quotes, music, and so on. The latter is about books and book exchange.

About songs my parents tought me:
My family lived a 2.5 hr drive from my home. we used to drive there every few weeks. always an adventure. We had 3 tapes we listened to a lot. one was by/for my parents. I remember listening to Creedence Clearwater Revival - around the bend a lot. what a smasher! Still love it.
Another one was Graceland by Paul Simon. That was a family favourite. Still have a soft spot for that one. His Graceland tour landed in Nijmegen in 1989. My family and I went there and it was one of the best moments in my youth.
