	3:18pm Mr. Oxford: I am sure you already know that in case you visit Berlin, there is an apartment where Bowie lived while working on his Berlin trilogy + Iggy Pop's first two solo albums. There is a plaque on the building's wall that reads something along the lines of the following in German: "This is where Bowie lived while working on his Berlin trilogy" and then ends with "We could be Heroes, just for one day". I visited the spot in November. It was nice. I wish I had bought flowers and placed it there (there were already flowers there and a pack of cigarettes). Somebody had scribbled on the wall something along the lines of "Thanks for inspiring me to be weird"

Listening to it while looking at the eerie album booklet which had these pictures of Bowie against pitch black backgrounds. He looked frail. Sunday late night I was up as I had a day off on Monday and the news came in all shocking. That eerie music video for "Lazarus" all of a sudden made sense. I'll never forget the shock and the afterthought of Bowie's plan with Blackstar.

There was this segment from a Pixies documentary where he was talking about the band - he was clearly a fan and elegantly analyzed the band's strength and impact. Then there was this video of him talking about the internet in the late 1990s I think and predicting how it would change everything and that at the time people were only seeing the tip of the iceberg. Then the news of his passing was especially shocking.

I suspect Boowie did that too - confounding us & rewarding our attention while alive with continual reinvention (he long always seemed to indicate the possible Future of Rawk) - & when he did, in fact, die - that was (has been) part of the grief, really. When a definite Bookend is put on an Artists's output, it's a different consideration.

It wasn’t until my friend showed me A YouTuber that looked like David that I got into him. She didn’t know who he was, (this was a year after he died) calling him “some guy on the streets” I was offended and showed her his music. One day I caught her dancing to “Fame” and freaking out over “Changes” I taught her well! Another friend of mine was a huge Bowie fan and we’d joke about meeting Bowie in the afterlife

There is a plaque on the building's wall that reads something along the lines of the following in German: "This is where Bowie lived while working on his Berlin trilogy" and then ends with "We could be Heroes, just for one day". I visited the spot in November. It was nice. I wish I had bought flowers and placed it there (there were already flowers there and a pack of cigarettes). Sunday late night I was up as I had a day off on Monday and the news came in all shocking. That eerie music video for "Lazarus" all of a sudden made sense. I'll never forget the shock and the afterthought of Bowie's plan with Blackstar.

Then the news of his passing was especially shocking.

She didn’t know who he was, (this was a year after he died) calling him “some guy on the streets” I was offended and showed her his music. One day I caught her dancing to “Fame” and freaking out over “Changes” I taught her well! Another friend of mine was a huge Bowie fan and we’d joke about meeting Bowie in the afterlife
