The Radio Is Broken is a three-hour spelunk through the canyons and fissures of humanity's collective unconscious. It sounds as if a field recording of the Culture Industry were a sonic juggernaut barreling down a rickety track—except that tunnel ahead is just painted onto a sheer cliff wall. With occasional forays into what might pass for "normal" music. Prerequisite journey: Cratedigger's Lung

“Aliens Are Real” is the debut album from experimental ambient artist UFOm. It was submitted as a demo by the artist, who wishes to remain anonymous due to their involvement with a low-profile religious organization. Sonically the album drifts between heady atmospheric meditations, spaced-out ambient processionals and ecstatic otherworldly vignettes. |

Same thing with Butthole Surfer's dancer Kathleen. She ended up not performing with them the 2nd time I saw them.

Got that Lulu track in my Bowie mp3 archive as part of a collection of rare & unreleased tracks. And thanks for playing Pailhead, one of the few discs I missed out on getting my hands on back when I was hooked into listening to industrial & collecting Wax Trax product. Most of what I got, I got for dirt cheap; some promo versions, some bought at disount stores in NYC, local indie record stores & flea markets. Might consider selling them on Discogs as soon as I rip them to the good ol' hard drive.

The second was a motorcycle trip through the Carolina mountains. While ascending a hill behind a laboring diesel truck, Niblock heard the revolutions of his engine fall into near-synchronization with those of the larger vehicle. “The strong physical presence of the beats resulting from the two engines running at slightly different frequencies put me in such a trance that I nearly rode off the side of the mountain,”
